About the Interim Storage Facility

The Interim Storage Facility is a facility for safely and intensively managing and storing soil and waste generated by decontamination in Fukushima Prefecture until final disposal. The facility is built to surround the TEPCO’s Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station. Its acceptance was approved by Okuma Town and Futaba Town after an extremely difficult decision.
